WIKI: [X]
REAL NAME: Unknown
ALIASES: Big Boss, Venom Snake, Punished Snake, Snake, Venom, Ahab, Medic, V
AGE: 52
HAIR: Light Brown, graying
EYES: Blue (One is damaged)
HEIGHT: Tall (6'3"~)
WEIGHT: Muscular,Thick (200lb~)
PERSONALITY SNAPSHOT:
Venom Snake is far more sentimental than the Big Boss we're used to. He's quiet, introspective, thoughtful, and takes great consideration for the decisions which he makes. Snake values the opinions of others, and he values them as people and individuals. He's more likely to give someone the benefit of the doubt, and give them a chance or even second chance. That's not to say he's forgiving or not skeptical.

Venom Snake is much more heavily scarred than Naked Snake was. His whole body is covered in massive scars which have been obviously sutured closed with staples and so on. He is missing his right eye which is always covered by a black eye patch. There is a large, black piece of shrapnel sticking out of his forehead. Snake is also missing his left arm and has a bionic prosthetic for it.

HISTORY: Wiki
PERSONALITY: [Spoilers Abound]
The most important thing to know about Venom Snake's personality is that he is not himself. That's to say, he was not only given massive plastic surgery to look like Naked Snake/Big Boss but was also forced into a nine year coma where he was given hypnotherapy to make him believe he really was Big Boss. Before that, he was known simply as "the Medic" and was with the real Big Boss on almost every major campaign and was the most trusted of Big Boss's soldiers. At the canon point I take him from he's finally learned the truth of who he is, and who he's not. With that huge spoiler out of the way, it's vital to his current personality because it's a crazy mixture of his true self and this hypnotized idea of who he thinks Big Boss is and what he should act like in his new role as the legendary Big Boss's phantom/replacement. (My head canon is that he literally does not remember his old name and nobody informed him of it, since it isn't given canonically.)
Snake is quiet - the type that's more apt to listen than speak. Along with this he takes other people's words into careful consideration, and is introspective. He also has a sentimental side to him that few would guess at given his strong-silent-type soldier persona. We can see his sentimentality in several specific scenes in the video game: one, his deep love and care for the puppy he rescues and his continued dedication and attention towards it; two, the care he shows for the diamond mine children he rescues and the extra care he goes to for them and to help them; three, his highly sentimental and caring actions at the funeral of a group of his soldiers.
Contrary to the Big Boss we have seen previously, Venom Snake's introspection along with his genuine concern for others, is new. His soldiers are not simply nameless additions to his personal army bent on forging a new world. Rather, he is trying to rid the world of the danger that has affected him personally, and also hurt those he cares about. At the same time as he seeks revenge, Snake is also focused on protecting and saving others. This protectiveness goes to great bounds, and contrary to instances of the Big Boss of previous games, he puts himself in grave danger (nearly to the point of martyrdom) for other people rather than strategically retreating. While Snake is unparalleled in his combat abilities, he never loses sight of the greater picture of what he's been tasked to do as Big Boss.
His concern for others sees him giving people second chances, or even third chances, during the game. These chances aren't given blindly though and Snake is obviously cautious and skeptical of others' motives. While he's willing to take people at their word he's also not one to be taken advantage of or lied to. For example, a traitor in their midst is found guilty of sabotage and murder. However, while the entire crew wishes to execute him, Snake decides to put him in a life raft and send him off to his own fate. Snake's explanation is, "we are not responsible to judge an enemy." His reasoning is that only one of his own would he judge, and since this saboteur is not one of his own, then he will be sent away.
One of the major themes in all the Metal Gear games is the (sometimes oddly extreme) deep loyalty and dedication all of Snake's soldiers and crew have for him; all his soldiers are crazily bent on going to hell and back with Big Boss. He's a very good leader in that his combat prowess engenders inspiration in all his crew. They see how tirelessly Snake works, the good he does, the measures he goes to and personal risks he takes, in order to achieve their goals. While he is dedicated to there being no slack and no sloppy training in his base, he is also ready to help train his soldiers personally and does all he can to raise morale. His soldiers are his family and he makes a point of reminding them all of this.
One last point about Snake's personality is that, as can be guessed by the almost split personality he has, he's not exactly the most sane guy. This is compounded by the fact that the large piece of shrapnel lodged in his skull rests on his optic nerve and is explained as giving him hallucinations. Snake admits to these hallucinations as shifts in color, but he also has even worse hallucinations throughout the game. Most of these occur before he knows who he truly is and his true personality as the Medic seeps memories into his current situations. Besides his slight crazy, Snake is also very eccentric. The Metal Gear games lend themselves to ridiculousness at times and Venom Snake is no different. While I keep the crack to a minimum, it will be pretty obvious to anyone threading with him that he's not exactly normal.
SKILLS / POWERS:
- Superior hand-to-hand combat skills, known in his canon as CQC (Close Quarters Combat).
- Superior knife skills, revolver, pistol, rifle skills, etc. He knows his way around weapons.
- Superior stealth/espionage skills including reconnaissance, assassination, and infiltration.
- Fearless in the face of great odds or against impossible opponents.
- Nearly super human stamina.
- Good leadership skills.
NERFING: He's just a human, even if a highly trained one, so he doesn't need a penalty. However, he does have one robotic arm prosthetic which will not work. I chose to leave him with just one good arm. :)
INVENTORY:
- Sneaking Suit
- Sniper Rifle
- Burkov Pistol with Suppressor and Flashlight/Laser Unit
- Combat Knife
- a non-functioning walkman (yes, that plays cassette tapes. this game takes place in 1984)
- 3 Cuban cigars
- a lighter

Alignment:
Piphron; being as the real Big Boss was highly distrustful of everyone, especially on a personal level, Venom Snake has incorporated this into his personality. For Venom, it reveals itself in a much more muted fashion though, and he seems to be willing to give people a chance before outright distrusting them. I think Piphron is perfect for this, as Venom has a balance between trust and distrust. The other reason it's fitting is because of his altered personality and the realization that his supposed friend stole ten years of his life and erased his past.
